The Canary Island Spurge performs best in full sun, where it develops its dense clusters of upright stems. It has very low water needs and should only be watered after the soil has completely dried. Although capable of growing throughout much of the year in mild climates, its primary growing seasons are spring and fall, with slower growth during extreme heat and winter. It has a moderate growth rate and gradually forms impressive clumps over time. This species is native to the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa.
